SOCAN Tariff 14 Royalties for Single Work Performances 2025-2027

SOCAN Tariff 14 outlines the royalties payable for the performance of an individual work or an excerpt by a performer or device at a single event when that work is the only one performed from SOCAN’s repertoire for the years 2025-2027. The royalties vary based on the potential audience size and whether the performance involves a musical group or a single instrument, with or without vocal accompaniment.

For performances lasting up to three minutes, the royalties range from $4.17 to $204.20, depending on the audience size. If the performance exceeds three minutes, the royalties increase progressively based on the duration, with specific percentage increases for different time brackets.

SOCAN reserves the right to audit the user’s records to verify royalty payments. Late payments will incur interest, calculated daily at a rate of 1% above the Bank Rate. All amounts are exclusive of any applicable taxes or levies. [Source]
